"ANTI BULLYING" - 6TH FEBRUARY 2024

“Grade 6,7,8 students at DWPS took a stand against bullying by presenting a powerful assembly on the theme of Anti-Bullying. With creativity and passion, they delivered a message of kindness, respect, and empathy. Their efforts remind us all of the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.

WORLD TOURISM DAY - 27TH NOVEMBER 2023

Under the theme “Tourism and green investment”, DWPS has always promoted and professed the moto of Investing in People, Planet, and Prosperity. This World Tourism Day 2023, the UNWTO, highlights the need for more and better-targeted investments for the Sustainable Development Goals, the UN roadmap for a better world by 2030.

Every year World Toursim Day is celebrated between 27th -28th September. The idea behind celebrating World Tourism Day is to celebrate the spirit of exploration, the joy of cultural immersion, and the connections forged with people across the globe. People visit other places for leisure, business, holidays, adventure and several other purposes. So was such an virtual visit, the audience had through the vision of our grade VII A students Assembly. The students had gone around the corner of the world with their depiction of different culture, tradition, languages and much more. They made us aware of the places in India which we weren’t known of. The assembly started up with prayer song, thought for the day, verses in different beliefs, an informative session on Tourism, Benefits of Tourism, a brainstorming quiz and a superciliously executed skit, which in our wide sense had taken to an actual way of how the tourist visiting our country are treated; the skit had actually kept up the word of ‘ Athithi Devo Bhava’. In short, the whole assembly was a showstopper one with the best performance by all the VII A children. All Laurels to the Class Mentor & Facilitators. The assembly ended up with special appreciation note by our Madam Principal who praised the kids and the mentor for the tireless effort and presentation.

WORLD HERITAGE WEEK - 20TH NOVEMBER 2023

India is a country filled with mythological excavations, aesthetics landscape, well-carved sculptures and rock-cut caves.To promote such an incredible age old civilization the Archaeological Survey of India, Trichy Circle, Tamil Nadu has come up with the celebration of World Heritage Week, at Thiagarajar College of Arts and Science. The college had organised a photo exhibition inaugural of rock -cut caves of Southern Tamil Nadu on 20.11.2023.

The event was graced by Honorable Union Finance Minister of India, Madam Nirmala Sitharaman. The guest of honor had inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Director General Kishore Kumar Basa- ASI, K. Hari Thiagararajan Secretary of Thiagarajar College [Arts & Science], Madurai and Chairman & Correspondent of Thiagarajar College of Engineering,Madurai, dignitaries and students.

As an well established institution , Delhi World Public School, Paravai, Madurai had also got an opportunity to have been invited to inaugural of such an paleontological event. Wherein a handful of students from grade 6th -12th had participated in the launching of the initiative to preserve our heritage.

The guest of honor, Madam Nirmala Sitharaman has hailed the legacy of our Southern Rock-cut temples, Caves, Monuments and architecture. The Finance Minister also expressed her gratitude to the Director of ASI & Secretary of Thiagarajar College. Union Minister further concluding her speech had advised the future of our nation – the student fraternity to protect our culture and instigate its wellness.

With immense pride and pleasure we are happy to share few glimpses of our DWPians with honorable Union Finance Minister of India.

NCC INAUGURATION - 17TH NOVEMBER 2023

NCC started in 1668 in Germany and later it took its origin in India in 1948 under the able leadership of Pandit H N Kunzru. He was the person who recommended NCC in schools and universities. Even the services of NCC cadets were taken during the war between India and Pakistan. It is actually the second line of defence. Later our first PM Jawaharlal Nehru who wanted to take NCC to next step formulated a curriculum for NCC and he also included community development and social service activities in NCC. So from then NCC has never stepped back in encouraging young men and women into a path where we could work and develop the nation. This is the kind of importance that we have for NCC.

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. The tricolor flag of NCC depicts the three services of the Corps. Red for Army, Blue for the Navy and Light Blue for the Air Force. The letter NCC and the NCC crest in gold in the middle of the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus, gives the flag a colorful look and a distinct identity.

A very prestigious ceremony and an event everyone in school looks forward to is the Investiture Ceremony. In brief our Election Process – The candidates were from grade 9 and 11. The selection process of the school cabinet was democratically held on July 3^rd, 2023 wherein the students competed for the coveted positions by undergoing rigorous process. To make the children aware of the election procedures, initially the candidates had prepared for a personal interview round in front of the Coordinators, Vice-Principal and Principal in order to qualify for the elections.

Selected students were given time and date to speak in front of the huge crowd of students. The candidates gathered votes by giving reasons for electing them for the student council posts.

The elections were held wherein the students of all grades from 2 to 12 casted their valuable votes through secret e-ballot to keep it fair. Counting followed by Crowning of the Leaders that is today so that proud parents can witness their wards swearing in as the captains. It’s a moment of pride for all of us.

As Lord Ram, Sitadevi and Laxmana returned to Ayodhya, bringing back joy, happiness and fervor, so did the DWPS management and fraternity celebrate Deepaavali in its full glow and charm. The senior secondary facilitators and students hosted a dazzling assembly, encompassing a mythological skit based on the fascinating tale behind Diwali, followed by a joyous dance. An enthralling mime based on ideal societal values amused and educated the young audience while the lamp lighting game, Just 2 Min, entertained the teachers. Saying No to Fireworks & Fumes, an eco-friendly Diwali was witnessed, as an audio treat of fireworks and cracker bursting wooed the young and old alike. The assembly wrapped up as Director sir and Principal ma’am extended warm festival greetings, holiday wishes and distributed sweetmeats to the DWPians.
May the mirth and merriment of the magical festival of lights bless us all with endless moments of joy, happiness, peace and love.

NAVARATIRI CELEBERATION - 30TH SEPTEMBER

30.09.22 அன்று நவராத்திரி விழா கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.

இறை நாதத்துடன் விழா தொடங்கியது. மாணவ கண்மணிகள் ஓரங்க நாடகமாக விழாவினை கொண்டு சென்றனர். இதில் மாணவிகள் நவசக்தியாக அம்மன் அவதாரத்துடன் நவராத்திரி புராணக்கதையை விளக்கினர். அவதார சிறப்பு நடனம், பாரம்பரிய வில்லுப்பாட்டு என மாணவர்களின் கலைநிகழ்ச்சி வண்ணமயமாக ஒளிர்ந்தது. ஆன்மீகத் தத்துவம் மாணவர்களுக்கு நல்லறத்தைப் போதித்தது. மதம் என்பதை தாண்டி மனங்களைப் பக்குவப்படுத்தும் நிகழ்ச்சியாக அமைந்தது.

பள்ளி இயக்குநர், முதல்வர், துணை முதல்வர், ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்களும் , அனைத்து ஆசிரியப் பெருந்தகையினரும் விழாவில் கலந்து கொண்டனர். பள்ளி இயக்குநர் மாணவர்களை பாராட்டி வாழ்த்தினார். பள்ளி முதல்வர், விழாவை ஆரோக்கிய ரீதியாகவும் அறிவியல் ரீதியாகவும் ஆன்மீக ரீதியாகவும் விளக்கி பங்கேற்ற மாணவர்களையும் பொறுப்பேற்ற ஆசிரியர்களையும் பாராட்டினார். இறுதியாக இனிப்பு வழங்கி விழா இனிதே நிறைவேறியது.

MSSC INTER SCHOOL THROWBALL TOURNAMENT - 14 & 15TH SEPTEMBER

“Talent wins tournaments but teamwork, intelligence and true sportsmanship wins championships.”

DWPS, Madurai, hosted the MSSC Inter School Throwball tournament, for the first time ever, with great pride, privilege and honor, on the 14th and 15th of September, 2022.The Chief Guest, Dr. Ashok Kumar (Secretary, DWPS), Director sir and the management fraternity extended a warm and cordial welcome to the Guests of Honor, the panel of officials from the Throwball Association, Observers – Principal from Madurai Public School and Vice Principal from Maharishi Vidya Mandir, PE trainers and the participants from various schools in Madurai zone.

The sporty and highly energetic boys and girls under the age categories of 12,14,17 and 19 competitively battled against each other, on September 14th and 15th respectively. The winners and runners in the finals, of all 4 categories were awarded with a certification and medal, on both the days, during the valedictory ceremony, while participation certificates were distributed to encourage and motivate the non – winning participants. Victories aren’t born on the field, it’s born out of day in and day out practice and the intensive coaching provided by the PE Trainers, who were specially thanked and appreciated by the DWPS management. The 2 day Throwball tournament culminated on a pleasant and satisfactory note…

GANESH CHATHURTHI ASSEMBLY - 30TH AUGUST 2022

“Oh Lord! with a curved trunk and powerful body, whose aura is equivalent to the light of crores of suns put together, always remove the obstacles that hinder our work and shower your eternal blessings upon us.”

The DWPS household was divinely and beautifully decorated with flowers, idols of Lord Ganesha, auspicious offerings and lamp lights, to honour the festival of the elephant-headed god.

The DWPS management, facilitators and student fraternity collectively hosted the Vinayaga Chaturthi Assembly on an auspicious note, with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Director sir, Principal, Vice principal and Coordinators, succeeded by the school prayer song. A graceful, elegantly choreographed solo as well as a group semi classical dance performance, in salutation of Lord Ganesha enhanced the spiritual ambience of the celebrations. A plausible, flawless and impressive mythological skit revolving around the birth of Lord Ganesha, to immortalize vinayaga chaturthi was whole heartedly appreciated and applauded by one and all. The DWPians were entranced as the mythological characters breathed, adorned, lived and showered their blessings of peace, happiness and prosperity, by resonating slokas, with immaculate perfection, during the Ashta Ganesha parade. To wind up on a sweet note, the significance of preparing holy and mouth-watering delicacies(prasadam) were highlighted, followed by a paradisiacal pooja session on the dais.

“Always pray for a head brimming with profound knowledge and sharp ears like Ganesha to hear and absorb everything clear”….a gentle reminder from Director sir and Principal ma’am echoed in the venue.

Modak for sweet and energizing moments, Boondi Laddoo to drown your sorrows, Peda to relish worldly offerings, happiness as big as Ganesha’s appetite, troubles as small as his mouse and life as long as his trunk….

DWPS Student Council ASSEMBLY - 29TH July 2022

“Serve with pride, lead with confidence, inspire to impact lives and be a student of achievement to accomplish great things in life.”

The DWPS Student Council 2022-23, headed by Ms.Jeyasree of grade 11, hosted a laudable assembly, on behalf of the council ,commencing with the school prayer song and tamil thaivaazhthu, hosting of the National flag by our worthy Director sir, followed by the flag song.

The days significance was brought to limelight by a grade 9 student council member who delivered an insightful talk on International Tigers Day. The campus news was a perfect flashback of all major DWPS events and assemblies in July. An amazing outpouring of the perfect moment and time to dream, drawn inspiration from Martin Luther King Jr, left the audience spellbound. The masterpiece of the assembly turned out to be a finger pointing at reality – a low budget horoscope reading for August, for grades 6 to 11,each grade being assigned a zodiac sign and a lucky color. Those facilitators who passionately loved their profession would be blessed in abundance, as per the student council astrologer.

The assembly was awarded a majestic 4.0 score by our Director sir, who, along with Principal ma’am advised students to abide by the 3 golden rules of being respectful to parents, obedient to teachers and having utmost self belief. The best of luck and wishes were conveyed to all DWPians for the forthcoming periodic assessments, as well. The Student Council Assembly spread the happiness magnet of optimism, to let the good times roll over and over again in DWPS.

TRIBUTE TO DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM - 27TH July 2022

Kalam’s Vision Club Assembly- Remembrance of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam- Wednesday, July 27,2022

“A great soul never dies.They stay in our hearts forever and brings us together again and again.”

The Kalam’s Vision Club of DWPS, Madurai paid tributes to the Missile man..Student’s icon.. People’s President, BharatRatna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, on his 7th death anniversary, by hosting a spectacular and striking assembly which reflected flashbacks from the great souls life.

Commencing on an auspicious note, with the lamp lighting ceremony by our Director sir, Principal, Vice principal, Club coordinator and members, followed by the prayer song, tamil thaivaazhthu and the school flag hoisting, the President and Secretary of the club executed a commendable job as Masters of the Ceremony.

A praiseworthy skit by the middle wing of DWPS, enacting the major life turning events in Dr. Kalam’s life was well portrayed on dais, in 5 scenes :Inspiration grows wings on the beach, Deadlines don’t exist, Height of honesty, Ardent lover of nature, Epitome of simplicity and humility…

A DWPian of grade 6, disguised as Dr. APJ, delivered a laudable speech on “Dream and Fly”, throwing light on the sequential process of learning, creativity, knowledge, all leading to greatness. A patriotic dance tribute, “Salam to Kalam” by DWPians of grades 6,7 and 8, was loudly applauded by the DWPS family, which was simultaneously backed by a live painting of the “Man Beyond Science”, BY a grade 9 artist, which was assured to be framed as a souvenir, on the walls of DWPS corridor.

The rest of the show was stolen by grade 11 science students, who rendered an exquisite speech on rocket science and the ten major contributions of Dr. Kalam. The climax of the assembly turned out to be the much awaited, manual DWPS rocket launching session, by the last benchers of grade11(science stream), with our worthy Director sir, taking the lead. The exemplary assembly culminated on a thankful note by Ms.Nabanita Sinha, the club convener and beautifully layered by the following sterling messages :

JUSTICE FOR ALL ASSEMBLY - 25TH July 2022

“The moral arc of the universe is long but it bends towards justice – Martin Luther King Jr. Once again the senior secondary wing of DWPS hosted a motivating and empowering assembly to open up the minds of DWPians towards justice, righteousness and fairness in the current world. A skit portraying child abuse, cyber bullying and consumer rights exploitation was thoughtfully scripted and enacted by our senior advocates. A Tedtalk, as mighty and persistent as the majestic lion was delivered, followed by a declaration, to the immortal Indian martyrs of Kargil war, accompanied by a minute of silence, as heartfelt homage to our nations guardian angels. A powerful mantra was also recited by the class mentor, which combined the elements of universal harmony and justice. The assembly concluded on a fair note that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere and as men and women, we must stand up for ourselves, for each other and for justice for all…..

National Mango Day/National π Day and Chandrayaan - 3 Upcoming Mission - 22nd July 2022

The Senior Secondary branch of the DWPS tree hosted a multi special assembly to celebrate the triple significance of National Mango Day, National π Day and Chandrayaan – 3 Upcoming ISRO Mission.

The Seniors of grade 11 A offered a delicious visual treat for all the mango lovers of DWPS by sharing facts and health benefits of the fruit and its leaves….. sending across the message that every day at DWPS is “mangonificent”.The excited audience reflected their inner joy and happiness, in a mango tree laden with bright green leaves and ripe mangoes… perhaps the most loved thing about summer.

The magical bond between the circle and π made the Math lovers”persπre”and the audience was inspired to be real, rational and well rounded in life’s decision-making.

Where most of them don’t reach, we almost reached….”

Space lovers and the like were carried away by the spectacular display and explanation of the Chandrayaan spacecraft… India’s historic mission to unravel the unknown and unexplored origins of the moon.

The triple significant assembly was wound up by Director sir and principal ma’am on a note of simplicity and transparency, quoting the ascension of the first Indian tribal woman president, another historic Indian event.

Hindi Literary Club Assembly - 20TH JULY 2022

The hindi guruji and lovers of DWPS, formally inaugurated the Hindi Literary Club by hosting a special assembly. The club president and secretary were officially introduced, followed by a plethora of hindi recitals like the prayer song, pledge, thought for the day, spoken sentences, life quotes and Kabirs doha recitation accompanied by its explanation. The significance of International Chess Day was incorporated as well, by correlating human lives with the black and white squares on the chess board, signifying the negative and positive hues of life. Well planned, organized and implemented, the assembly winded up on the note that ones move in chess and life must be carefully made, with a purpose, for, its forethought that wins both the games.

English Literary Club ASSEMBLY - 18TH JULY 2022

“The English language is a work in progress and not a measure of intelligence…Have fun with it”.

The linguaphiles of DWPS hosted an assembly on behalf of the English Literary Club on Monday, July 18,2022, to highlight the weird beauty and bewitching magic of English language.

The assembly commenced with the rhythmic recital of William Wordsworth’s poem “Rainbow”, which was followed by an enthralling delivery of eternal lines from William Shakespeare’s masterpiece “Julius Caesar”.A duo from grade 9 shared mysterious and brain racking English puzzles, homophones, synonyms and antonyms to brainstorm the young DWPSians. To keep the DWPS spirits high and going, a string of motivational quotes concluded the assembly. Our worthy Director sir added to the list of DWPS assembly celebrations, by declaring to observe July 18, henceforth, as TamilNadu Day, to honor and propagate the rich traditions, culture and values of the majestic state, to the new genre. Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom and to master a new language is to possess a second soul… was the message poured out by the DWPS linguaphiles.

KAMARAJAR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION- 15TH JULY 2022

15.07.2022 அன்று கல்வி வளர்ச்சி நாள் தந்த காமராசரின் பிறந்த நாள் விழா வெகு விமர்சையாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. பள்ளிச் செயலாளரும், அனைத்து ஆசிரியர்களும் கலந்து கொண்டனர். மாணவர்கள் கட்டுரைப் போட்டி,பேச்சுப் போட்டி,மாறுவேடப் போட்டி, ரங்கோலி என அனைத்துப் போட்டிகளிலும் ஆர்வத்துடன் பங்கேற்றனர். இவ்விழாவில் மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் திறமைகளை முத்தமிழில் வெளிக்காட்டிய விதம் அனைவரையும் மெய்சிலிர்க்கச் செய்தது.ஆடல்,பாடல்,நாடகம் என மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் ஆற்றலை வெளிப்படுத்தி கல்வியை போற்றிய விதம் மிகவும் அருமை. காமராசரின் வாழ்வியலை சிறு நாடகமாக நடித்துக் காட்டி தன்னலமற்ற தலைவரான கர்மவீரரைப் போற்றினர்.மழலையர், காமராசர் போல் மாறுவேடம் பூண்டு அணிவகுத்து வந்தது பெருமைக்குரியதாக இருந்தது.

தமிழ் ஆசிரியை திருமதி. சர்மிளாவின் வரிகளில் காமராஜரைப் பற்றிய பாடல் குழந்தைகள் பாடியது மிகவும் சிறப்பானது……பள்ளி துணை முதல்வர்,கர்மவீரர் காமராசர் பெயரின் தனித்துவத்தை எடுத்துக் கூறி அதில் நாம் பின்பற்ற வேண்டிய வழிகாட்டுதலை குழந்தைகளுக்கு வழங்கினார்.விழாவில் பள்ளிச் செயலாளர் டாக்டர். திரு.அசோக்குமார் அவர்கள் மாணவர்களிடம் காமராசரைப் பற்றி அறிந்து கொண்டால் மட்டும் போதாது;நீங்களும் மிகச் சிறந்த தலைவராக திகழ்ந்து புதிய சமுதாயத்தை உருவாக்க வேண்டும் என்று அறிவுரைக் கூறி ஊக்கப்படுத்தினார்.இறுதியாக நாட்டுப் பண் ஒலிக்க விழா இனிதே நிறைவேறியது.பள்ளி தமிழ்த்துறையினர் அன்று மாணவர்களுக்கு காமராசரின் திரைப்படத்தைக் காண்பித்து மகிழ்வூட்டினர்.

DWPS INVESTITURE/ENTHRONEMENT CEREMONY - 12TH JULY 2022

If your boat wishes to sail in windy weather, then you and your boat must be stubborner than the oceans waves for smooth seas never made skillful sailors….

In succession with the conduct of the DWPS Student Council 2022-23 elections, bravely surpassing the ferocious and quarrelsome windstorm, the chosen Office bearers, class monitors, club secretaries and the SQC members of DWPS, Madurai, were inducted into their official designations through a badge conferring and an oath taking ceremony.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony, Lt Col. S.Sathiamoorthy (Retd), a graduate of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and an

alumini of Indian Military Academy, College of Material Management ,Jabalpur and Military War College how, marked his admirable presence in military attire. Specialized in military logistics, supply chain management and military explosives, and a keen sportsman at national level, he served the Indian Army for 3 decades. The honorable Chief Guest was accompanied by the DWPS Chairman, Managing Director, Principal, Vice principal, Academic coordinators and the Administration staff while the facilitators, parents and the student community assembled under the canopy of a spacious marquee .The enthronement agenda commenced on an auspicious note with the school prayer, tamil thaivaazhthu, lamp lighting ceremony, hoisting of the School, National and Olympic flags, welcome address by principal, followed by a traditional, classical invocation dance. The promising future leaders of DWPS marched in pride with their heads and shoulders held high, followed by their honoring and oath taking session. Presidential address by our dynamic director sir, bold and confident addresses by the DWPS Head boy and Head girl, keynote address by worthy chairman sir and an inspirational address by the chief guest charged the turbulent ambience and witnessing audience, with messages on personal ethics, social consciousness, professional competencies. The DWPS audience loudly applauded the felicitation session of the versatile teacher achievers, who won multiple prizes for a variety of contests conducted in DWPS on Women’s Day. Curtains were drawn for the grand ceremony with a vote of thanks, a sweet and memorable photo session and the rendering of the glorious Indian National Anthem.

The National Simplicity Day - 13TH JULY 2022

Simplicity is the beauty of life and the ultimate sophistication. The National Simplicity Day theme for 2022 is ‘Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities’…The gems of 9 B hosted their class assembly on a simple and elegant note. Simple yet transformational personalities like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Kalvi Valarchi Kamarajar etc were praised in a speech, followed by a French spoken session, conveying synonyms of simplicity for vocabulary enrichment and a brainstorming session. MALALA DAY - 12TH JULY 2022

In tune with the ‘protection’ theme for July, 2022, the zealous and vibrant stars of class 9A hosted a special assembly to celebrate Malala Day, On July 12th, reflecting powerful vibes on ‘women empowerment’ in combo with the element of protection.A power packed skit, speech and a quote display based on the same were performed, followed by a spoken hindi repetition session and campus news. The assembly concluded leaving behind an echoing message “Be the voice of the voiceless…” in the minds of the audience.

PROTECTIVITY (ASSEMBLY)- 8TH JULY 2022

Pursuing the months theme “Protection”, the vibrant and enthusiastic stars of 6B showcased their talents on the dais, by presenting a well scripted class assembly, of which a thematic skit and a melodious solo song being the key highlights drew a loud round of applause.The newly constituted school choir marked their maiden performance as well with vocal recitals of the school prayer, flag song, tamil thaivaazhthu and the national anthem.

The management team, facilitators and students of Delhi World Public school, Madurai honored and paid homage to the immortal soul by hosting an empowering and encouraging school assembly, on Monday, July 4, 2022,by the blooming Senior secondary wing, based on the underlying theme”Women Empowerment “. The DWPS fraternity witnessed a spectacular voice and vision display set to the back score of the Nobel Prize laureate, Malala Yousafzais speech, a motivational group song, a mime on the transition of education and an innovative portrayal of the success journey of our founder leader. Evergreen memories of our founder were shared by our esteemed secretary, managing director and principal ma’am, followed by the offering of flowers and prayers at the foot of our founder leader. As a golden feather is to a crown, a spacious mini auditorium was inaugurated as well, on this auspicious day.A sweet treat was offered by the generous management team to the entire DWPS family tree.

National Doctors’ Day is celebrated on July 1st across India to honour the legendary physician, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy of our country. This day is dedicated to all physicians who serve the society and help people to fight diseases which were very much acknowledged during the pandemic.

DWPS STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION - 24th june 2022

“One man – One vote. Vote, for its our right and power to make a difference to ourselves, our fellowbeings, our country and the world.”
The Student Council Election, 2022 – 23 heat waves hovered in and around Delhi World Public School, Madurai over a span of two weeks commencing from mid June till the end. A perfect replica of the Indian democratic election system was designed and portrayed before the DWPians, under the leadership of the DWPS Election Commission headed by the worthy School Management team, Principal, Vice Principal, Academic coordinators and the facilitators.
The Student Council Election was announced before the students, during the general assembly, followed by the declaration of various posts for contesting. Nomination forms were prepared, filed, scrutinized and finalized.Apt symbols were designed and allocated to the various student contestants, who marvelously rendered power packed campaign speeches on stage.Election posters and flyers were designed in accordance with the house colors and circulated in the official school groups.The final voters list and voters IDs were prepared and distributed to all the enthusiastic voters from grades 2 to 11.The EVM installation , setting up of polling booths, electoral ink application and the final vote counting mechanisms were technologically innovative and imparted a genuine online voting feel. Being responsible citizens of India, our esteemed Secretary, Director, Principal, Vice- Principal, Academic coordinators, teaching and non-teaching faculties and DWPians from grades 2 to 11, casted their votes on 28th July 2022. With huge rounds of applause, cheering and countdowns, the victorious student leaders were finally announced by Principal on 29th June, in the assembly courtyard. The rest of the student contestants were appreciated for their boldness and willpower to participate in the school elections, which kept their spirits high and smiles bright.

Accepting, appreciating and transmitting the beauty and power of the Indian fitness and relaxation technique – Yoga, the Delhi World Public School, Madurai organized a versatile compilation of contests related to Yoga and Music. An amazing Yoga cum Music oriented school assembly was also hosted where the DWPS fraternity witnessed breathtaking sun salutation displays by DWPians from various grades. Under the guidance and supervision of two Veteran yoga masters, several yogasanas, breathing and relaxation techniques etc were arranged in the school auditorium, for the ever ready and energetic students from grades 2 to 10. HELLO JUNE - ASSEMBLY - 13th june 2022

“School bells are ringing loud and clear… Vacation is over and we are back to school, our home away from home” .

DWPS, Madurai was back to life and color in full swing, after the scorching summer break, on Monday, June 13, 2022. The management, heads, coordinators, facilitators and budding students gathered under one roof for an energizing and heart-warming welcome session assembly, blessed by the worthy presence of the DWPS Secretary and the Managing Director. The new team of students and facilitators were cordially welcomed through a self introductory session which was followed by recitals of thirukurals, brainstorming quiz sessions and empowering speeches by heads, facilitators and the management dignitaries. Each DWPS spirit was reminded that reopening’s are rebirths and new beginnings.
