“Grade 6,7,8 students at DWPS took a stand against bullying by presenting a powerful assembly on the theme of Anti-Bullying. With creativity and passion, they delivered a message of kindness, respect, and empathy. Their efforts remind us all of the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
India is a country filled with mythological excavations, aesthetics landscape, well-carved sculptures and rock-cut caves.To promote such an incredible age old civilization the Archaeological Survey of India, Trichy Circle, Tamil Nadu has come up with the celebration of World Heritage Week, at Thiagarajar College of Arts and Science. The college had organised a photo exhibition inaugural of rock -cut caves of Southern Tamil Nadu on 20.11.2023.
The event was graced by Honorable Union Finance Minister of India, Madam Nirmala Sitharaman. The guest of honor had inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Director General Kishore Kumar Basa- ASI, K. Hari Thiagararajan Secretary of Thiagarajar College [Arts & Science], Madurai and Chairman & Correspondent of Thiagarajar College of Engineering,Madurai, dignitaries and students.
As an well established institution , Delhi World Public School, Paravai, Madurai had also got an opportunity to have been invited to inaugural of such an paleontological event. Wherein a handful of students from grade 6th -12th had participated in the launching of the initiative to preserve our heritage.
The guest of honor, Madam Nirmala Sitharaman has hailed the legacy of our Southern Rock-cut temples, Caves, Monuments and architecture. The Finance Minister also expressed her gratitude to the Director of ASI & Secretary of Thiagarajar College. Union Minister further concluding her speech had advised the future of our nation – the student fraternity to protect our culture and instigate its wellness.

A very prestigious ceremony and an event everyone in school looks forward to is the Investiture Ceremony. In brief our Election Process – The candidates were from grade 9 and 11. The selection process of the school cabinet was democratically held on July 3rd, 2023 wherein the students competed for the coveted positions by undergoing rigorous process. To make the children aware of the election procedures, initially the candidates had prepared for a personal interview round in front of the Coordinators, Vice-Principal and Principal in order to qualify for the elections.
Selected students were given time and date to speak in front of the huge crowd of students. The candidates gathered votes by giving reasons for electing them for the student council posts.
The elections were held wherein the students of all grades from 2 to 12 casted their valuable votes through secret e-ballot to keep it fair. Counting followed by Crowning of the Leaders that is today so that proud parents can witness their wards swearing in as the captains. It’s a moment of pride for all of us.
